I just found out that we are gettig rid of our fresenius 2008K's for the b-braun machines. Does anyone out there have any feed back on these? I have only seen 1 for 2 days while this other clinic sampled it. For instance what is good ? what sucks frequent breakdowns or reliable.

Puzzles I'm taking care of 43 Dialog + machines with no problems. Only a few software issued, some Upline tank sensor. But remember that's my personal experience. Thanks God.

I will say that the Fresenius machine is better than the Gambro but, it has a long way to go before it is anywhere near the Dialog+. The only thing Fresenius did with the K machine over the H was to put perfume on te skunk.

We currently have 74 Dialog+ machines and I just ordered 40 more last week. Of the 74, 27 of them just had their 3rd birthday and have only had a TOTAL of 9 breakdowns since 1/1/09.

Chuck

This was posted earlier today on another topic. I don't have as many machines as "Chuck" but I believe they are superior to the "K".

A few things that are nice with the Dialog+
disinfection history for months in memory, the acid and
bicarb wands get disinfected with the machine,
the monitor moves so when you are working behind
the machine you can look at the screen, the front of the machine opens and hinges as well as the rear to take a look at the hydraulics.
as far as the pm, its yearly and mainly tubing with some orings and a couple of filters. Both
machines yearly pm's take about the same time.
hope that helps.

I never worked on Fresenius machines But I like the Bbrauns over all. They are over all reliable. The Pm is annual and it takes about 4-5 hours depending on if you have to do calibrations and that includes simulated therapy and disinfect. We had some power boards go on some of them, some blood pump rollers malfuction and the ABPM modules were funky for awhile but with some of me nagging and them coming and updating firmware and coming out with redesigned rollers etc that is solved for the most part...I have to say that they don;t really have any problem that is attached to every machine or the dreaded ( as soon as they hit 10,000 hrs they all ......
