We were recently inspected by Medicare. At that time the surveyor suggested that Bicarts should not be shared between patient. I am wondering if anyone else has had this experience and what is the norm in the field. Are Bicarts being shared patient to patient like Bicart Jugs or are they being tossed after every patient procedure no matter how much is left in them.
Thank you in advance for your replys.

There are no regulations as far as I know. However you should follow the manufacturer's recommendations. The manufacturer does not recommend to change it between patients (there is no reason to do that)
At the beginning of the post it says the surveyor suggented to change the bicart between patients. It does not mean you have to actually do it

To my knowledge, there are no regulations on this. We share ours..BUT, once opened, kept no longer than 24 hours. And on Saturdays, none are saved for Monday
