Here's a tip for the fresenius people. If the dialyzer holder is slipping down the pole, put a piece of silicone tubing (you can use the tubing that is connected to the flow and dearation pumps,)in the opening opposite of the friction pad on the holder. Snap the holder in place and it stays up on the pole. This way you don't have to throw the holder away, or wrap the pole with some funky tape. I have tried to use an o-ring on the pole but have never found the right size.

You can also use a thin screwdriver to pry off that rubber stopper and place a couple of orings under it. Reattach to your pole. AHHH GUUT an TIGHTT.

Whatever you do, don't let someone put a hose clamp underneath the holder. It will gouge the IV pole, and staff may cut their hands on it.

chris - thanks for the tip. I put an o-ring on each of the little posts that hold the rubber stopper in place and than snap the stopper back in and it works even better than the silicon tubing.
