I got a letter from FMC about a year ago stating that they were going to stop making parts for the H machines here soon. Has anyone heard any updates?

Sometime in 2010 the H will no longer be supported. Thats all I heard as of August 2008.

I have the letter here in front of me. It states that spare parts will be available until January 31, 2010

so how do we get parts after that date? I still have 23 total 2008H machines in 2 clinics. what am I suppose to do if a front panal is bad? or another part that is specific to an H?

This is typical in the medical field. If you have H's, then you should get the K's in the near future. Then hang on to some of the H's. Parts purposes, there are very few parts that do not carry over to the K.

I know it happens, but in 11 years in dialysis, the items I have seen fail can be found on both machines. rarely it was display, older blood pump or water chamber. Some boards.

Yeah, what happens is on the old old old model they make the part stainless. Then on the old old model it becomes painted steel. Then on the old model it becomes plastic. Then on the current model the plastic is blown with air and is made in Pakistan.
