This is a total guess, so keep that in mind. We had a machine once that a loose piece of plastic was in. I guess it was from milling one of the components. Anyhow, it had finally worked it's way to the dearation screw and partially blocked it. Even worse, it would move around in the currents, so it was intermittent. It made everything change sloooowly. You could have something similar. Or not Smiler

You mean by my working on it or having Fresenius come out? You have a point. I ordered a balancing chamber assy that didn't solve the problem. I had the other parts in stock and removed them when they didn't solve the problem. The rod in chamber in chamber E was cheap. I have spent a lot of time on this machine though.

If the service manager wants me to try something else before he sends his tech out, I am willing to try.

I actually thought about something like this causing the problem.

Fresenius was out on Wednesday to work on this machine. The tech was unable to fix the machine on Wednesday but is coming back next week with a complete hydroblock.

I will post if and when he gets it fixed. There is not much left that hasn't been tried except the hydroblock.

The Fresenius tech came out yesterday and replaced the complete hydroblock assembly. The problem is fixed. I could kick myself for not changing the hydroblock when I had it torn apart to replace the rod in chamber E. But the original rod looked OK, so I didn't replace the hydroblock.

The tech said that we may see more hydroblock problems as our 1KOS machines age. He was unsure of exactly was wrong with it.

Thanks for all the advice.

Check balanceing chamber or hydroblock whatever you have for broken gasket or trash inside of it.

Not sure why you didn't just change the hydroblock yourself? Seems kind of spendy to have Fresenius come out and do your job. It was probably just the gasket and would have cost $10.00 or so to fix. If you haven't you should probably go to the Fresenius class and learn how to fix them yourself!

If I knew the problem was the hydroblock, don't you think I would have changed it?

Not one person on this forum or at Fresenius tech support suggested changing it.

I am sorry I can't walk on water the way you do, big man on the Internet with the clever name of guest.
