Problem: The machine is running a conductivity of 14.6 - 15.0. I have recalibrated the acid and bicarb pump volumes. The Balancing chambers have been recalibrated as to the conductivity cells. I have changed the conductivity cell, sensor board,& functional board.

After all of that the conductivity is still running high. It will calibrate to 14.2-14.6 just under the bypass limit. I have done everything that I know including calling Fresenius. Some Body help me as to what I am missing.

Thanks in advance. Matt

Matt,

It sounds like you either have a bad BATRAMM or a leaking balancing chamber membrane.

Matt,

Have you changed acid and bicarb pump springs and seals? I hunted all over for a problem like that before and found that to be the problem. Just a checklist, make sure you've checked: da/loading pressure, flow pressure, temp cal, temp control cal, da brushes (possible low flow without error actually showing up).... hope that helps. Keep us informed and we'll help where we can. Sometimes it's simple things that can slip by us and give us the hardest times!

Matt (yep, me too!)

Thanks to all! It was a bad functional board. The bad thing is that I had 2 bad boards and didn't know it until I swapped one out of another machine.

chuck was probaly right. The battery ram chip is on the function board. It holds alot of the calibration information. I have seen when this chip goes bad the calibration only "hold" for a short period. It's much cheaper to just replace the chip (it's a pull out and costs about $15) versus replacing the funtional board.
