We have new 2008K serial 8KOS and have seen this problem on two machines already with the first 100 hrs...Reseting the cables on BPM has worked once but we keep seeing it happen. Any suggestions. Thanks.

What blood pressure module is in the machines? Is it the A&M Medical TM 2910 or the Colin M2600? Sounds like you have a hose leakage situation which might be at or near the hose barb on the module itself. The TM 2910 has a hose barb that is just stuck into the module by friction. Is the problem that the cuff takes too long to inflate, or too long to deflate? If it is a deflation problem, then the valve that does that in the module itself may be bad, and it is probably covered by the 6 month warranty. I had a TM 2910 in a new machine that had a problem with deflating recently.
Whenever this error has occured in our clinic, It was that the machine was accidentally put in pediatric mode. In pediatric mode the cuff pressure is limited to a lower value and may not pump up high enough to take an adult reading. The button for pediatric mode is directly below the button for user id.
