We have been using Gambro machines for the last 25 years (C2, C3, and Phoenix) We recently made the choice to go to Braun Dialog+ machines. We currently have 22 Dialogs and 26 Phoenix machines. I am interested in talking to other users of the Dialog+. We have had multiple issues with the heater rods, poor quality plastic parts on the exterior, etc. I am wondering what other units experiance has been with the Dialog. We are trying to make a decision between the Phoenix and Dialog for long term use.
We currently have 51 Dialog+ machines, 27 of them 15 months old and the rest 6 months. Total, we have replaced 5 heater rods. Compared to whats left of our Tina machines (about 200) 5 heaters is excessive, we have never had a heater go bad on a Tina. When we had "H" machines (before the new hydroblocks), the heaters blew all the time. The only plastic part that we have had any kind of trouble with is the clip that holds the plunger of the heparin syringe.
We plan on having the rest of our Tina machines replaced over the next 3 years. If the Dialogs stay as reliable as they have been thus far, I'm going to have to try to find some other kind of work for my techs to do!

My wife is a hospital biomed with 10 Dialog plus machines. These have been 1 year time bombs. They were perfect for the first twelve months then boom. Common problems, heaters, dumping programming and disinfect path parts.
Just a heads up

It may be contrary to what others may post here, but our dialysis network is in possession of 37 B Braun Dialog + machines, many of which exhibit a nearly flawless operational record after over two years of service. As with all equipment, however, regular servicing intervals following the manufacturer's recommendations is vital to continued good performance.

Our hemodialysis unit has 13 Dialog Advanced dialysis machines. We have not had one break down in about six weeks! (The machines are used six days a week, three shifts and are going on five years).
Thank you B/Braun!!
