The forums at RenalWeb are open to any and all that wish to post questions and comments. The intent is to provide a forum for the free exchange of experiences and information relative to (in this forum) dialysis technology.
When posting I ask (and I know others will appreciate) that your post be pertinent to the nature of this forum, be specific as possible and when asking a question or for an opinion include as much information as possible. This will stimulate positive responses to your post which will encourage informed discussion. From time to time someone will post a question which may not be clear or a response which may have erroneous information. It is not unreasonable to ask for clarification or to point out an error. However we need to be cognizant of how we respond in such cases. The intent should not be to denegrate or embarass the poster but rather to "get to the heart of the matter" of an unclear question and to correct the error. It is okay if a "heated" debate breaks out but again the intent should not be to bash the opposing opiner - after all opinions are like - well you know we all have them and sometimes they are not as Fred Dirst said at the grammys "in agree-ance". We should always agree to disagree and in the spirit of the golden rule, respond to others as you would want to be responded to. As stated this is an open forum and anyone, registered or not, can post. However at no time, and this is very clear, will negative comments about an individual, company, or other entity be allowed unless the poster is willing to state their name and provide a legitimate email address or contact number. Even then we maintain the right to remove or edit posts which do not meet the forum's standards. I am very pleased with my nearly 4 year affiliation with RenalWeb and wish to thank Gary Peterson for allowing me the opportunity to continue serving as your moderator. The Dialysis Technical Forum is one of the most popular and successful forums on RenalWeb. This is a result of the continued participation of a cadre of dialysis technical professionals and experts who have demonstrated a willingness to take time to answer questions, offer comments and share their wealth of knowledge and experience with us newbies and oldsters alike. Each day presents an opportunity to learn something new and it is my hope that you continue to find this forum as a vehicle for that opportunity. As always I thank you for your continued participation. [This message has been edited by Dennis Todaro (edited 03-19-2003).] [This message has been edited by Dennis Todaro (edited 03-19-2003).] |

I must agree with the previous two posts and give you a thumbs up on words well spoken. I never knew such a place as this existed until a short time ago and I'm glad I found it (you probably wish I never had found it due to some of my obnoxious posts in the past lol). I have found this a useful tool in developing my knowledge of this career I have chosen for myself. I consider myself fortunate to have found such a place. I also apologize for some of my past actions that many have found unacceptable. Hopefully, I have been forgiven and hopefully a positive change has been noticed in my posts. Once again, thanks everyone for all the help and advice. Your assistance is greatly appreciated and if there is anything I can do to help any of you, feel free to contact me by email posted in my profile. Thanks!
