I am stuck!we recently upgraded all of our 2008H machines with digital heparin pumps. I have 5 machines that the pumps WILL NOT work in. I have checked the cables, and pumps. I have upgraded all the software in the machines. (ie Functional boards and actuator boards)I have swapped pumps good with bad with no luck. Can anybody think of anything else to try? Thanks in advance. Matt

Have you contacted Fresenius to help out? If so what did they say? Sounds like you did everything to me?

I would call your Freseniu Sales Rep and get them involved..The Sales Rep should be able to get someone to help you or at least get someone to come out and visit...If that doesn't work, keep working up the food chain...It should only take one call...Their service is questionable at best IMHO!!! There is alot of other vendors at there and I know we will be asking them to come in when where ready...Good Luck

If you havent' already done so, go into Service Mode, then Treatment Options(or possibly Hardware Options). Verify that a Heparin Pump is slected. If it is, make sure that your dip switches on the Fucntional Board are properly set.

Good Luck!!

renal man,
The dip switches are set properly and the heparin pump is selected in the service mode. What about the sensor board? Could this be the problem?

Check the actuator board. I had a machine that the heparin pump would not work on. Some one had installed the wrong actuator board in it. The old style actuator BD does not have the driver chips installed on it. Compare the actuator boards and see if any chips are missing on the ones that dont work. mybe the sent your the wrong ones
