Is anybody knows what's the right conductivity of the bicarb solution?

lpdc,
That is going to depend on whether you use "Cobe", "Drake" or "Fresenius" style concentrate. When properly proportioned, Fresenius style will be around 2.0 mS. |

I am assuming you are mixing your own bicarb. When I mix my own batch I get 50mS +/- 2mS. Premixed from the manufacturer I was getting 50mS on the nose. |

Bicarb itself around 50mS. Using Cobe style solutions, the bicarb adds about 2mS to the overall cond. of the dialysate.

Conductivity of Fresenius 9,000 series bicarb is 70ms + or - 2ms.

chuck w , orc, and km thanks for the info. orc, you are right were mixing our own bicarb. we are using naturalyte 9000 from fresenius ( nominal dilution of 1:1.83:34 ). we are using baxter machines. I checked our bicarb solution (mixed) and i got 70 mS . dialysate with bicarb only 6 mS. i want to know if these figures are ok . again thanks
