Well, I confess here that the last time that happened to me I had forgotten to turn the water on! As soon as I got water, and rinsed the machine for a few minutes to get rid of the built up air, the blood leak calibrated with no problem.

Like Ktech said air or build up of bicarb in the blood leak dect tube due to lack of proper acid clean over time may be the cause. If no air present check the glass tube to insure it is clean.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago.Can be blood leak detector, Sensor board,Or Sensor cable. Turns out after testing all of them it was the sensor board waited till last to replace that since a refurbished one is over 2800 boss didn't like that. Good Luck let us know what happens
you can order an olc kit through fresenius for an h which is $500 and includes a sensor board that can be used in a k. shows they set there own price but it does have to be ordered through the area manager.

You can also get the sensor board rebuilt by H&S Tehcnical Service for much cheaper than the $2800.00. If you send it overnight to them and ask for it to be repaired ASAP, they mauy repair it the next day and have it back to you overnighted the third day. Just to be sure that it is the sensor board I would swap in one from another machine to see if it resolves the problem. The machine will probably give a conductivity reference failure and you will have to do a conductivity cal after that.
