Does anyone know how to change the priming amount on a 2008K ? I need to change the volume from 600ml. to 300ml.

Service mode>options>default settings>prime amount box. Be careful to read insert on dialyzer. This comes in dialyzer box. It will tell how much to prime. The more prime in general, the better for the patient since air removed from fibers. 300 min for Optiflux but others, say Baxter require more. Find the dialyzer that requires highest prime and set accordingly.

Why 300? Are all your disposables steam sterilized.

We use Optiflux dializers and I think they use gamma ray sterilization. They are just trying to cut down on unessesary waste. like using 2 bags of saline per pt.

We stopped to circulate with UF and just rinse with 500ml and use the rest for backwash at end of HD.Lines are steam sterelized.
