after trouble shooting i found in book to check valve 27by unhooking from dist bd if still over flowing unhook 5 float if still over flowing needs new actuator, put in new actuator and still leaking in heat

I have a H which is no problem in dialysis and rinse, but has a great amount of water shooting out from the hydro block vent during last half of heat disinfection.
Take me a year to solve the problem. It was one of the balanceing chamber valve got problem when it is very hot. |

How much water is coming out? Free flowing or spits? and what does the temp go to? Saw a malfunctioning function board that had the heater turned on constantly. Temp at the dialyzer connectors went to about 95deg.C. Water in the hydro chamber would boil and overflow the vent. Wasn't free flowing, just acted like the overboiling pot that it was.

I have seen this problem many times on Fresenius machines. The first thing I would do is swap the float switch with a known good. If that does not help troubleshoot valves and boards accordingly. 99% of my experiences have been the float. Let us know.

I have seen this problem numerous times myself and usually the cause is the heat exchanger due to a small hole in the metal plate that seperates the two halves. A good way to check to see if this is the case is to pull off the clear spent tubing of the HE and connect the machine to the water supply while the machine is off. Do not turn the machine on! If you see water bubbling out of the top ports of the spent side of the HE, then there is an internal leak. If this is the case replace the HE and check the inlet water pressure regulator to see if it's bad too. Usually a bad pressure regulator is the reason the HE will go bad. |

In my trouble shooting book from class it told me to go to page 159 so i did it actually should have told me 156 anyway it was the float sticking so problem solved. Thanks for your help everyone!~

This does happen quite often. Here are a few things you can try that have helped me. If it is spitting, remove valve 61 (Water Inlet Pressure Regulator) and check the o-ring to see if it is worn. I know this may sound bazaar, but if the water is pouring out, replace the Heater Exchanger. This worked on two machines that were gushing.
Hope this helps, please keep us informed. Also, don't forget to re-calibrate valve 61 if you do open it. Take care and good luck. |

Well i thought it was fixed, doing it again today, ill check some of the things you have mentioned and let u know the results

a lot of you are saying the pressure regulator, would the pressure be off or could it be bad and still be between 18 and 20

No. They were advising you to check to see if it was allowing too much pressure through. That is was leads to problems in the heat exchanger.
Follow some of the things already suggested. |

Did you change the heat exchanger ??
My bet is on the heat exchanger....if you have not changed it yet.. |

If this machine is only leaking out of the vent tube in the last half of heat I can't see where the heat exchanger SHOULD not have anything to do with it. In the last half of the heat cycle the inlet water valve SHOULD remain closed unless there is a leak that would intern drop the float which should cause the inlet valve to open and v29 to close. I see 2 possible causes. 1 leaking inlet water valve or deair/flow problem. If the inlet water valve is not closing all the way it would cause water out of the vent that more than likely would not show up until the last stage (Rec of hot water) when the machine shouldn't be using water in the first place. If this is the case it should also leak with the machine just on and not in any mode, rinse, dial, ect. If there is a problem with the deair or flow systems causing the flow of water to slow down and remain in chamber B of the heat exchanger too long causing the water to overheat/boil and then leak out of the vent tube. I would look the deair and flow pumps real close and valve 39. Most of the time there will be some sort of flow error but not everytime...
