Valued Fellow Technicians, Does anybody know where I can get those colored curly tubings for use with central feed acid and Bicarb? They are very expensive from the dialysis machine manufacturer. I think there are at least two vendors who sell them, but I don't know where to begin looking. If anybody has a solid vendor they use as a resource, could you please tell me? Thanks. ashepherd
Hello, when we were using them on our Cobe C3's we got the coiled tubing from McMaster-Carr. We don't use it anymore because of the heat disinfect on our current machines. It comes in black, red, yellow, blue and orange. It is made out of polyurethane. Hope this helps.

We have had good success with the Spiral Coil Tubing from RPC. The tubing withstands heat disinfect cycles and holds up to chemicals used in dialysis. As previously noted 800-647-3873
Personally, I think the coil tubing is junk. It gets tangled up easily and is harder to pull through the hole on the cabinet when you pull the hydraulics out. I just added about 6 ft of the straight tubing to what was there and it works just fine. Just make sure you extend your rinse times to compensate for the added volume.
Some people dream of success, while others live to crush those dreams.

Also, (extension hose) keep on the staff to drape those hoses over the dialyzer holders when not in use.

Make sure you understand what happens to the coiled tubing you purchase when it is exposed to chemicals.I recall issues with tubing degredation after it is exposed to bleach. ecktimo
