I have a 2008k machine with about 17000 hours.it will have a blood leak alarm about every two weeks now then i have to bleach it and calibrate it and it works fine for another two weeks could the just be a bad blood leak dectector or is it in the card cage. Thanks

Take apart the blood leak detector and look for a fingerprint on the glass tube. Others have found this to be a problem. Use tissue or wear powder free gloves when you put the tube back. If the problem persists after inspecting the tube replace the tube, or the whole blood leak detector. Some of the tubes were defective also, they had little bubbles cast into the glass.
