Wondering if anyone can, We have a 18 station clinic. We are you baxter meridans.. and i am having monitor problems....seems like the the machine is working...everything flowing like normal...but no monitor i switched out the A7 card, the HUI and almost the other cards..the power seems to also be normal...please help if anybody else had this problem...thanks

check your 5 volt power supply . The software will shut down the machine if the 5 volt power supply falls below 4.85 VDC. If that's the case , you need to replace the A12 board (switching power supply board ) theres no way you can adjust the 5 volts.

p.s check your fuse at power entry module. there are two fuses, one 10 amp and the other is 15 amp.

You stated that you replaced A7. Is this because the 120V to the CRT was absent? This can be checked on A7 across L1 contact 3 and L2 contact 3. If the 120V is not present, then backtrack from there. If it is present, go ahead and check the cord where it plugs into the monitor for the 120V. Check the video cable connections since you stated that the A5 was replaced. If the monitor is still not working, then the monitor is most likely bad. You can swap the monitor from a working machine to make sure.

Hey just to let you know that it was the motherboard giving the problems...i basically took everything out of one good machine and put it in the broke one and it worked fine....so I ordered a new motherboard and it worked perfectly...sorry it took me awhile to reply about the problem...and thanks for all the help...

Question....Do Baxter Meridians use deaearation filters as did older Baxter machines, 1550's, 450SD's etc.

Baxter Meridians use the same deaeration filter as the 1550's.

As to the monitor problem above, we were told in tech school that some of the monitors were failing. Have you replaced the CRT?
