Can someone please help me understand what this error means. "Dial Vavle ERR" happened on a 2008k fresinus machine. It's happened before but upon shuttin off the machine and turning it back on it goes away.. and the techs always ask what that is.. anyone know what causes thsi problem? or should i worrie about it or anyway to duplicate it? happens when they drain their dialyzer or when takin off the machine

Valve error indicated there is an electrical problem with one of the valves. It could be a problem with the valve itself, with the wiring to the valve, with the actuator board cable or actuator board.
If you check Debug screen number 1, you will see a value for VERR. This value should be 0. If you see it climbing, there is a problem with one of the above mentioned parts. When the value reaches 255, you will get a valve error. If you turn the machine off and back on, it restarts the count from 0 to 255 and temporarily clears the alarm.
I like to check the resistance from various pins on the actuator board to ground. Each valve goes to a different pin. The locations are in the troubleshooting book. Sometimes I will find a high resistance because the wires to the valve were damaged during maintenance. This week I found a valve that ohmed out at 0.
Hopefully that is of some help to you.

hey hank, thanks for the input but that's not the problem =(. There is no flow error or any valve error. The machine runs perfectly fine after rebooting the machine. For some reason this has happend twice after taking of the patient. "dial vavle err" is what appears and you cant reset it. only way to do it is turn it off and on
Tech support told me that it sometimes caused by noise. They said to make sure all the ground cables are connected. You get the error when it detects that current is flowing through the valve when its not supposed to. We have seen it on K machines when they are in one particular patient station. We even had an electrician check the grounding of the outlet. Never found out what was causing it and the problem went away. Does your machine have the new actuator/sensor board? Never have seen the error on the H machines.
