I have an H machine that is giving a "Blood pump failure" alarm. Alarm will go away temporarliy if machine is turned off, but comes back within 20 - 30 minutes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You are going to need to give more details if you want help with this question. I can not find a Blood pump failure alarm in the H operators manual. It will alarm for BP Stopped or BP Feed back Error. The BP stopped can be caused by the magnets one or both missing out of the BP Rotor, a bad Reid Switch in the BP Module, and/or the Sensor PCB. The Feedback Error is usually cause by harmonics (noise) from worn brushes on the flow or dear pump. motors.
Is the rotor turning while the alarm is occurring or is it stopped? Is the value displayed on the Module correct the speed of rotation when the alarm is not happening? Give some more details and someone will be able to help you.

The alarm is "Blood Pump Failure" nothing else. It is referenced in the 2008H operators manual PN490005 Rev H. on page 115. It is an electronic self test indicating that a failure has occured. The patient was on for over a half hour when the alarm occured and the rotor was turning. No other alarms were present. Machine had to be turned off in order to reset. It then worked fine for about 15 minutes until the alarm came back. Any ideas?
