So I was looking into certification and talking to the President of Bonet and she stated certification will be mandatory for all PCT by 2010. Anyone else hear this. It is on the website.

My FA mentioned this to us, according to the ESRD association, a few weeks ago, which I think is what is supposed to have been the standard all along. It will help keep REAL nephrology professionals (techs, nurse, biomeds) with our patients rather than the 'clock in, clock out' so-called "veterans" who work the system and compromise patient care to their advantage.

My only issue is the continuing lack of appropriate pay for us certified techs. It seems my NANT and BONENT credentials in my six year career always mean nothing in comparison to the 'seniority' of techs who have been cutting patient times, compromising schedules, calling in 'sick' when state and company supervisors come and audit because they can't answer basic clinic guideline questions...
