You will need to have a computer that has the FDS08 program installed. We have an older system that still runs in DOS.
This sounds like you have D or E machines. They required a seperate box known as a transterm to interface with the computer. The H machine did not require a transterm box. The transterm hangs from the back of the machine on a sheet metal bracket. There is also a box inside of the back cover of the machine which has three good sized circuit boards on it. You will also need the cables that go from the machine to a wall plate and then through hard wiring to the FDS08 computer or the Facilty Data Concentrator. All of that stuff is still available from Fresenius, but it is very expensive. Fresenius has been known to put in small variations in their programs and hardware so that everything remains proprietary and you cannot adapt something which might be cheaper to their system. For example, they change the wiring in some of their cable plugs so that pin two on one end corresponds to pin five on the other end, and they wrote the Diproton FDS08 program in non-standard bytes, instead of 19 bits to a byte, they used 17.(Or whatever those numbers should be) It makes it close to impossible to adapt any other program for use with their Diproton FDS08. Your best bet may be that someone who is getting rid of Diproton will have the equipment that you need and will sell it cheaply or even donate it to you. Here are some part numbers and prices from the current Fresenius price book, CMS208 Assy R150224. $1,158, CMS208K D machine rear panel R150396 $835,those are refurb prices, there may be a core charge if you don't have a bad part to send back. The cable assembly is 150405,FDS08 Cable 2008D&E,W/ CMS208K $67.85. The wall plate is Assy. Wall Plate, CMS208K 150412 $58.03.The transterm is 150119,Transterm Kit Assembly $751.71. And on top of all that then you will have to buy the program and the computer from Fresenius. These prices are in US dollars, it sorta sounds like you might not be in the US, so who knows what your actual price and availablity might be. Those are some of the reasons that most folks are no longer using this in the US.

thanks for the information. it seems that everything you mentioned is available here apart from software part. all cables and hardware is present. any chances of gettingf the software alone.
