Just had something totally bizarre happen and thought I'd share it with y'all. I called FMC tech support to get a part #. I know this is hard to believe, but I got a call back in less than 2 minutes!!!! Can you believe it?
Must be my lucky day? Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket?

Same thing happened to me the other day. Trying to get a part number for the current colin module ( those things are another whole category of complaints), I was disappointed to be told that I would have to wait to hear from a tech about a part number( what, are they a secret that only techs know about). I was just like you, GTSCSS, I was called back within minutes. I was somewhat thrilled until I found out how much the module costs. The thrill is gone.

If you have any old machines around that are no longer in service, you can use the M400 Colin module from them instead of buying or repairing the M2000 or M4600 modules. You will also need to use the old ribbon wire for the M400 if you do this regressfit.

Same thing happened to me, I placed the call just knowing it would be an hour or more, started nurses tech traing-5 min into it they call back. What really blew me away I had someone ask them to call back in 10 min so I could get to a stopping point and they did. Life's a trip.

IT'S LAZY TECHS THAT CAN'T LOOK UP A PART # IN A BOOK, BUT WOULD RATHER SOMEONE ELSE LOOK IT UP FOR THEM THAT SLOWS DOWN THIS DEPARTMENT FOR THOSE OF US WHO MAY CALL ONCE A YEAR.MAYBE THEY HAVE ADDED STAFF TO THE CALL BACK ROSTER DUE TO THE INCREASE OF LOST TECHNICIANS.

Some parts numbers change, you might need a RGA or prices change.Especially if you are not an FMC clinic. You have to call to get an acurate pricing for you PO#.Being A "2008K guru" I thought you might know that.Though The 2008k has been out but for only a few years.Yes,I do work for the "Dark Side".

Like ME2 said, the part numbers change and we HAVE to call it in because Fresenius doesn't seem to care if we have an accurate parts book. The part number for the flow/DA pump head hasn't been changed in the illustrated parts book for several years. On top of that, there's quite a few parts that aren't in the book, or are difficult to find. Where in the illustrated parts book can you find the part number for the "pigtail" that connects the potentiometer to LP243 on an analog heparin pump? The book is still showing the H blood pump rotor as PN 641463. How long has it been changed to M35310?
I understand that there are people who might be calling in for something that they could easily look up themselves. But some of this stuff just isn't available to us. That's why we call. There's no need to call us lazy. Believe me, when most of us call, it's the absolute last resort. If I had a problem with a machine, I'd come on here LONG before I'd call Fresenius.
