Hey guest where exactly do you think the profits come from if not patient related (private insurance, medicare)? Is the money coming from thin air? So now we all of a sudden need utilities, leases, wages, office supplies, repairs, transportation because of the economy? I guess we didn't need all those things before the economy went into the crapper and we were still getting decent raises.

your lucky to get the review and increase, since last year (date of hire), i did not hear about my review and raise. Up to now, many months already still waiting for the light to shine. I also work at FMC.

Tech, What are you SLOW? My statement was just letting you know that there are a lot more things that affect our wages then patient censes. When the economy went down the tubes the price of everything else seems to go up so you can't just make a blanket statement that we still have the same amount of patients so how can they justify not giving raises. There are a lot more things to consider when giving raises and how much to give. Like a some said earlier, we are lucky to have a job right now!

The only thing that is being considered is making sure the higher ups get their bonuses

For sure there are other variables in the cost to do business as Guest stated. However, the less your supervisor spends therefore saves the greater his bonus. For sure! Isn't corporate work just great!
Clinics make a killing on the costs of medicine. Epo for example is a BIG /HUGE money maker for the clinics. As long as the corps. are top heavy the lower grunts that do the work will seldom get what they are worth.

FYI-Technical Management does NOT get bonuses. They are following orders just like you, give them a break. Complain to Germany, the stockholders, and Wall street.

That raises another aggravating question, why doesn't the tech dept get bonuses? This is a bunch of bull. All management on the clinical side receive bonuses even though we are saving the company thousands even millions, NOTHIN'. Even the highest up in the technical do not receive bonuses. Just so you know the truck drivers get bonuses, go figure!! I don’t complain about much but this is crap!
The clinical side usually makes the final call on who they want where.
THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL ...........

Kissing the a---- of a few clinical/area/program managers may help get you the position but they won't help keep you when you get found out to be lacking. you probably already know this. Watch out for the toes you step on, on the way up the ladder, they may be attached to the a-- you have to kiss on the way back down.
