The first thing I would look at with this is the acid/concentrate pumps, or balance chamber membranes. Also, is this only on one patient or on every patient that runs on that machine. If it is patient dependant, suggest the nurses do a recirculation study on the patient.

I have just finished rebuilding acid/bicarb pump. Also recalibrated everything possible. And I have checked with clinic staff that is all patients that run on it. Thanks

Try a different blood pump module in the machine first, since speed variations in the pump speed can cause the OLC to fail or cancel. You might also try turning the blood pump on when you do the test in the repair area and see what happens. If that doesn't do it then try switching the sensor board from a good machine into the problem machine. You will have to recalibrate the conductivity and temperature and other items that are on the Fresenius list of things to recal when switching a circuit board. If that takes care of the problem then try the "bad" sensor board in the other machine, and do the recal's that are needed there also. That may save you from buying a very expensive sensor board. I had a K that was doing a similar thing, and after switching the boards from machine to machine I never had another problem and did not have to replace the board. H&S can repair that sensor board if necessary.

Ugh, still no good. Hard to fix a problem when it gives you a pass, then patient runs and will cancel everytime. Any more suggestions besides throwing it out the window from 5th floor?

Try replacing the whole acid pump assy.with a new or different pump..I have had the acid pump to cause this even if it does cal..for some reason when the pump tries to hold that top conductivity 15.9 or 15.8 it cant do it..
