We recently added the 1.5x flow upgrade to our 2008k machines. For those you out there that have this option, I was wondering if you have noticed any issues resulting from this upgrade? We seem to be having more issues when trying to run the OLC Self Test with unable to run OLC messages. We would appreciate any input regarding pro's and con's of using this option.

i(we) have the autoflow initiated, but that does not mean they are using it on all patients, generally because the dr has prescribed a fixed dfr. i am not seeing any olc issue because we don't use that feature. while many of the powers that be above the facility level would like to beleive that we must use it for patient benefit, it is the patient themselve to blame for the subpar kt/v. the demographic in my area pay no mind to fluid limits and prescribed run times. i've seen all kinds of data collection/projection systems in my career and the biggest fault is not the data but the people who point to it but don't know what to do with it

I just added this to my machines in June. Previously before that we used X2 . I have also worked where we used 1.5, 2, or 800 DF. Since switching we have not had any problems with the OLC. However, one of my facilites does not have OLC. How many machines are giving you this problem?
