I need to update/make sure all our unit policies are in order, my problem, I don't know if I have everything I should. Can anyone post a list of policies that you should have? I do not want your policies I just need to know what I should have.

You'll want to get a hold of the AAMI guidelines for dialysis, they sell them as a set. You should also get the CMS regs for dialysis. These are a good place to start. Also get the CMS guidelines frequently asked questions and answers, it helps clear up some the regulations and what they are looking for and I have also found this website very useful.

AAMI has different guidelines for Acute's vrs. Clinical so make sure you get the right ones. I'm sure CMS has seperate ones as well.

For acute there is a amendment 3 to RD52 for acute dialysis. Mostly is concerning portable ROs.
