Hi
I have a direct feed system with 23G osmonics and a water softener with a fleck 2850 valve.
I need to interlock them and I'd like to get some help on how to do it.
Thanks

According to the Fleck manual, the Fleck 2850 valve has an Auxiliary switch that will trigger during regeneration. If your's is not set up, you should see a spare limit switch on one of the cams in the valve. It can be set to lockout the RO until the softener is past the Rapid Rinse step or past the Brine Tank Fill step. If your valve does not have the Auxiliary switch, you can order a kit (Fleck part number 60320-12). Connect this switch to the 23G Pretreatment Lockout (Rev C of the 23G manual shows screws 42 and 43 on the Main Board, pg 29 of the manual).

If you are not comfortable doing this, anyone who services 23G ROs should be able to set it up.

Florian:
I see the the 23G pretreatment lockout (42-43) this is a 5 vdc.
What I can not find is the auxiliary switch on the softener valve.
Can you tell me which one is the switch on the manual diagrams?
Thanks for your help.

Alex, Check out the second page of this attachment

Some valves are not supplied with the switch installed, but it can be added.

Thanks for your response.
Our softener does not have the auxiliary switch.
Now, looking the diagram for the 23G machine, I see that the 42 (5vdc this is an output right?) and 43 (ground) are "open" and when the auxilliary switch closes on the softener the circuit will close and the RO machine will shut off right?.
I know that I need to program the RO machine to the interlock mode.
I am just making sure that I wire the switch to the RO properly.
Let me know if I'm right.
Thanks
