I may have missed something but you can not incubate a gel clot endotoxin in a moving car. They must not be moved until time is up. Movement may disturb the clot resulting in a false negative. Incubating a gel clot on the same counter with a centriuge will give you questionable results.

microM,

haha, I didn't mean drive around with them. I just meant he has alot of clinics he could just bring the incubator with him. They are light weight and can be charged if there is not a designated outlet from a cig lighter from your vehicle (12 v)

San Augustine,
Thank goodness-and please excuse my stupidity. When I first started in dialysis (18 years ago)I was told by a coporate tech to place Millipore samplers on the warm window sill for 24 hours and multiply X 2. He was serious and got no growth every time. I have also received water samples that smelled of bleach and alcohol. You scared me a little. But, I should have known better. This forum shows what an enlightened group we have become.

That looks a lot like the warmer/cooler thingies you can buy at Walmart.

microM,

Back in the day, the Millipore samplers were just incubated at room temperature...now we know better.

Chuck
