Good Morning fellow troubleshooters. I have 40 K machines that are 1 years old and about half of them fail the allowed leak rate. The module type is TM-2910 and the leak rate should be <30mmHg. It is not my test device.(some barely leak) and I make sure my connections are tight and are connected securely with a tie wrap. The modules can't be bad because some fail between 10 to 50mmHg over the range. anything else I can check B4 fresenius tells me to buy a new module?

I think the software was set with limits for the first compact bp units (The blue ones) and never was updated for the other 3 or so units they have been replaceing them with since they have had so much trouble finding one that will stay together. In other words the machine my think it's out of range when it's realy ok per the limits for that unit. Hope this helps
mtw2, here is a link to the latest Fresenius service bulletin regarding preventative maintenance on their blood pressure modules. I'm not sure if it will help or not but here it is anyway. http://www.fmcna.com/fusa/fieldbulletins/08frk001.pdf Good Luck!

Maybe the leak is at the hose barb, the TM 2910 has a hose barb that is stuck into the module and held in only by friction, try removing the hose barb and putting a small amount of silicone calk around it. Let it set up and see what happens. I have not had good luck with the TM 2910's either.

We have over 100 K mavchines and we have had most of the bp pumps replaced under warranty. They were defective. Contact the supllier and get a warranty repalcement settlement going.
