Can someone pls explain to me why the blue henson connector always crack and not the red. I would think it would be the opposite since the red gets all the dirty substances.

Hansen Manufacturing is a Cleveland,OH company that makes all kinds of quick connects, and many years ago they made the connectors for Fresenius. The current connectors are not made by Hansen. In my twenty years in dialysis I never saw a bad blue Hansen connector either, but in the last two years I have seen at least six, and they have all been the blue one, and whoever is making them is not proud enough to put their name on them.

I quit ordering my Hansons from FMC because they are two peices fused togehter and I have had several get micro holes in the seams. I found that RPC's are a solid mold with no seams to crack. I am not reccomending RPC this is just what I have found by trial and error.

Yea I've seen the crack. It usually starts at the hole where the fluid flows from.During pm's check it with a flashlight small crack doesnt leak but when it separartes it may not even leak, but you'll get lovely failed pressure tests.Lots of techs dont check these.
