Hello, I have a 2008K machine that is giving us a Resetting, Try Again alarm everytime they try to take a BP. Besides replacing the module does anyone have any suggestions? They will be pulling the machine tonight so that I can work on it.

What make and model of module is it, and how old? and is it possible that you have pin hole leaks in the black rubber hose on the inside of the machine near the module? That happens in the first six or eight inches of hose because the heat of the power supply dries out the rubber. The plastic hose that you can buy seems to last much better than the rubber. That being siad, I had a TM 2910 that was less than six months old recently that did the same thing and we replaced it under warranty. If you have salvage machines then just use an M400 module with the correct ribbon wire for it. And make sure that whatever module you do install has the correct wire, each model uses a different one.

Every Time i had this problem so far it's eather been that the connecter at eather the card cage or the bp module is loose or the bp module is just bad.

I have had a machine that had a bad function board causing the BP to retake over and over.

Make sure the machine isn't in pediatric mode. It won't pump up high enough to take a reading.

Good call HiloTech. I just had one last week that was in Ped mode. I only discovered this after I replace the module. With Ped mode, it should alarm when you first power it up to let you know. That was how I figured mine was in it. I was standing behind it and couldn't figure out why it was alarming until I looked. This is where staff retraining comes into play. If a machine is "ALARMING" when you first turn it on, don't go ahead and just use it, see why it is alarming.

Thanks for everyones input. It turned out to be a couple wires pulled out of the cable connector at the BP module. Replaced the cable and all is good.
